SUMMARY: The Division Manager is responsible for building, launching, and leading Baker’s new Panel Cleaning Division. This includes responsibility and accountability of program design, SOP creation, training systems, documentation standards, KPIs, safety framework, operational workflows, and cross‑department coordination. The Division Manager ensures the division delivers best‑in‑class customer service, generates profitable recurring revenue, and consistently feeds high‑quality cross‑sell opportunities to other Baker business units. This role also requires the ability to perform field work as needed, particularly during launch phases, for training, quality assurance, and for schedule support.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in field operations, construction, solar, or service‑based leadership.
  • Experience building programs, SOPs, or field teams strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success with safety systems, KPI reporting, and multi‑crew operations.
  • Strong ability to build programs from the ground up.
  • Deep understanding of field safety, rooftop access, and OSHA requirements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to execute field work when needed.
  • Analytical skills for KPI tracking and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Program Buildout & SOP Development
  • Design, author, and implement and then continually refresh and maintain all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and KPIs for every stage of the service workflow.
  • Build training materials, safety manuals, documentation templates, and operational checklists and KPIs then continually refresh and maintain
  • Standardize procedures for cleaning, inspection, safety, documentation, communication, and cross‑department referrals then continually refresh and maintain
  • Continuously refine SOPs based on field performance, customer feedback, and KPI trends.
  • Be accountable for these SOPS being followed and the KPIs being achieved
  • Operational Leadership
  • Launch and scale the division from pilot to multi‑crew operations.
  • Lead daily operational planning, routing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct ride‑alongs, site audits, and crew reviews to ensure consistency and safety.
  • Step in to perform field work when necessary for training, schedule coverage, or operational demonstration.
  • Safety & Compliance
  • Build and own the division’s OSHA‑aligned safety program.
  • Ensure fall‑protection standards, rooftop access protocols, and environmental safety controls are followed.
  • Maintain all training logs, compliance documentation, and safety records.
  • Provide regular safety coaching, audits, and corrective‑action plans.
  • Cross‑Marketing & Lead Development
  • Build the system for technicians to identify, document, and route cross‑sell opportunities.
  • Track conversion rates and refer leads to Solar, Roofing, Service, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing and Battery divisions.
  • Train technicians to communicate findings professionally without selling.
  • Develop scripts, checklists, and documentation tools to improve opportunity capture.
  • KPI Management & Reporting
  • Define KPIs for safety, productivity, profitability, customer satisfaction, documentation accuracy, and cross‑sell generation.
  • Maintain dashboards and performance metrics.
  • Present monthly and quarterly KPI reviews to the General Manager and senior leadership.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Customer Experience & Quality
  • Ensure consistent, high‑quality execution across all crews.
  • Review job documentation, inspection findings, and customer feedback.
  • Resolve escalations and collaborate with Service, Construction, and Operations teams.
  • Training & Culture
  • Build and deliver all initial and ongoing training for new and existing technicians.
  • Establish a culture of Safety, Documentation, Consistency, Customer Care, and Professionalism.
  • Support team development, coaching, and retention.
  • Direct supervision of all Roof Technicians and Ground Technicians.
  • Responsible for hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.
