About The Position

AGE is looking for a strategic leader to oversee the Division for Community Living (DCL). The DCL Chief has responsibility for the management of statewide home-and community-based services (HCBS) waiver programs that support Ohioans covered by Medicaid. This talented leader must be knowledgeable in aging and/or healthcare policy, experienced in developing, evaluating, and monitoring large-scale programs, and managing daily operations. The job duties of this position include but are not limited to\: Supervising a team of high-performing professionals and working with direct reports on performance management activities; Overseeing a portfolio of Medicaid–funded programs and waivers that support older Ohioans and their caregivers; Leading the development and execution of a strategy that advances long-term services and supports; Developing and implementing policy and procedural improvements based on data-driven insights; Driving the creation and adoption of clinical quality improvement initiatives; Providing oversight of the AGE-certified provider network; Advising the Chief Program Officer on emerging trends in long term care practices and policy. At the end of the first year in this position, indicators of success include\: Professional and inclusive environment among staff and peers. Improved public value of AGE programs – effective and efficient in achieving outcomes. Demonstrated impact in priority areas and delivery on departmental demands.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in public administration, social work, nursing, gerontology, or another human services field with progressive leadership in a similar role.
  • Effective in public speaking, writing impactful correspondence, and maintaining relationships across different teams, internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of long-term services and supports, Medicaid, Medicare, and Older Americans Act programs a plus.
