About The Position

DaVita is seeking a Division Finance Manager (DFM) to join its Village, supporting the Midwest-based operating group, Team Fusion (preferably Chicago or Minneapolis). The DFM will be part of a team of field finance leaders, partnering with and supporting Divisional operations leaders (DVPs) for a business generating over $1B with approximately 6,000 teammates. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical and financial background, an ownership mindset to proactively improve the business, and the leadership ability to operationalize new ideas and insights. This role is a key thought partner, working closely with the Group Finance Director (GFD), DVPs, and other field operations and clinical teams. The DFM is an integral partner in supporting the operating clinics within their assigned division(s), functioning as the highest-level finance leader and acting as a strategic partner and advisor to Divisional Vice President(s). Typical divisions include approximately 50 clinics and $200M in revenue. This teammate will take a leadership role in financial management, growth management, and general leadership through strong partnership with Division Vice Presidents and the Group’s finance team, playing an integral role in driving successful business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Expert-level computer skills and proficiency in MS Excel
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

  • Explain key drivers behind financial performance and present analysis, insight, and action to the group’s leadership team during monthly financial/operations reviews.
  • Lead the annual bottoms-up build for labor and controllable cost items for budgeting.
  • Conduct formal quarterly reviews with physician partners on the financial performance of joint venture facilities.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement in partnership with the Group Finance Director and Division Vice Presidents through special projects.
  • Build models, assess projects, and pitch all potential new and acquired clinics.
  • Partner with Division Vice Presidents to analyze, review, and recommend overall divisional growth strategy.
  • Lead the bottoms-up build of the 3-year operating plan for forecasting.
  • Interpret data, develop solutions, and effectively communicate recommendations to senior leadership as the CFO of the division.
  • Drive accountability to action plans committed by Divisional Vice Presidents.
  • Coach non-finance oriented teammates on how to use Excel tools and manage a P&L.
