The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a Director for the Division of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery! Our Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery division is recognized nationally and internationally for its excellence in urogynecology and pelvic reconstructive surgery. Physicians in the UW Department of Ob/Gyn Division of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery provide a broad range of basic and specialized medical and surgical services related to complex pelvic floor disorders: In partnership with the Chair of the Department, develop a comprehensive strategy and plan for growth and development of the divisions clinical, educational, and research activities. Provide leadership and oversight for physicians and advance practice providers and ensure continued collaboration between providers and clinical sites. In partnership with the Chair of the Department and Chief Administrative Officer, managing the administrative, finance, research, and clinical operations for the division. Develop the division's faculty with emphasis on clinical quality, professional development and scholarship. Participate in the clinical services initiatives of the UW Health System. Progress and develop new research opportunities for the providers in the division. Provide a broad spectrum of distinctive obstetrics and gynecologic care and oversee the continuation and development of clinical niches and focus areas. Participate in the direct supervision and training of faculty, fellows, residents, and medical students. Collaborate with faculty colleagues from urology, colorectal surgery, and GI medicine to advance the pelvic floor disorders program. Clinical responsibilities include participating in the care of patients at the UW Health and Meriter Hospitals. Responsibilities include management of complex pelvic floor disorders as well as full-time call for urogynecology patients and consults. In addition, the candidate will continue to build an advanced sub-specialty practice. This position will include working with the Gynecologic Oncology (Gyn Onc) and Academic Specialists in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ASOG) Divisions, assessing advanced gynecologic disease. The incumbent will participate in opportunities for community service at the department, school, and institution levels appropriate to the tenure/CHS faculty rank. The faculty member will be an active participant in the clinical, research, and academic service in the Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery Division in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The incumbent will be expected to have demonstrated an interest in clinical research and will be expected to initiate and participate in clinical research studies, as well as quality and outcome programs. Academic responsibilities include participation in teaching programs related to medical students, residents and fellowships. This will include responsibilities in the simulation lab, developing advanced skills and metrics for learners. The candidate is also expected to oversee the training of residents and fellows in the operating room, clinic, and inpatient unit. This position is full or part time, 80%-100%
