Division Chief for Oncology Services for Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Department of Surgery Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Harvard Medical School The Department of Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), is seeking a distinguished otolaryngology head and neck surgeon to serve as Chief of the Division of Oncology Services for Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. The successful candidate for this position will be considered for appointment at Harvard Medical School at the rank of Professor, commensurate with experience and achievements. The successful candidate must have a demonstrated track record of clinical excellence in patient care and scholarly activities, with achievements in the fields of head and neck surgery, basic or clinical research. A demonstrated aptitude for multidisciplinary collaboration is critical. The candidate must be experienced in administration, the supervision of residents and fellows, and the teaching of medical students. The candidate should have a history of external, peer-reviewed research funding, and should possess a vision for developing BIDMC’s head and neck cancer services and the growth of those services. In addition, the Department of Surgery will be engaged in the newly announced and exciting clinical collaboration between Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI), BIDMC, and Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) to establish New England’s only free-standing adult inpatient cancer hospital. The collaboration will bring together world-class clinicians to deliver transformational, precision medicine in an environment solely dedicated to defying cancer.
