About The Position

The Dive Supervisor serves as the lead diver and job captain for underwater inspection, repair, and maintenance projects involving concrete water and wastewater structures. This position is responsible for overseeing dive operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing dive documentation, and completing assigned underwater construction and maintenance tasks in support of project completion.

Requirements

  • Valid commercial diving certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in commercial diving involving water or wastewater structures (concrete experience preferred).
  • Complete and pass all safety training required for this position.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as Dive Supervisor or lead diver.
  • Must have the ability to work as a member of a team, is reliable, and attentive to the work being performed.
  • Strong understanding of underwater concrete repair techniques and materials.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team; dependable, reliable, and attentive to detail
  • Ability to accurately complete documentation and basic arithmetic related to time and expenses.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Dive Supervisor and lead diver for all assigned dive operations
  • Maintain full responsibility for dive truck and trailer operations, including equipment readiness and inventory.
  • Enforce and maintain jobsite and dive safety compliance, including OSHA, company, and project-specific safety requirements.
  • Perform underwater inspection, repair, cleaning, and maintenance of concrete water and wastewater structures, including tanks, reservoirs, and related infrastructure.
  • Complete underwater concrete-related tasks such as patching, sealing, epoxy application, crack repair, and coating support.
  • Maintain and complete diver logbooks, dive plans, daily reports, and project documentation.
  • Track and document team hours, daily expenses, and project-related costs.
  • Manage and reconcile expenses using a company-issued credit card.
  • Coordinate with superintendents, project managers, and crew members to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Ensure proper setup, use, inspection, and maintenance of diving and support equipment.
  • Abide by all safety rules on the jobsite and stop work when unsafe conditions exist.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
