About The Position

Midco Diving & Marine Services is the leading full-service underwater construction, inspection, and repair firm in the nation. Our work is critical-we dive deep to inspect and repair everything from municipal water tanks and bridges to dams and processing plants. Our motto says it all: "We Do That." We're not just growing; we're building a team of passionate, like-minded individuals dedicated to high-quality service. We're looking for a Dive Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be the bridge between executive strategy and field execution. Your primary goal is to manage our Dive Supervisors and crews to ensure "best in class" work while maintaining a culture of safety and accountability. While this is intended to be a primarily office-based position , the maritime industry is unpredictable. You must be an expert at logistical planning and crew scheduling to minimize unnecessary travel; however, you must also be ready to deploy to field sites with little or no notice when critical project needs or schedule shifts arise.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or Marine Engineering preferred (or equivalent experience) preferred
  • You must also have 8+ years of commercial diving experience and substantial experience in the heavy civil or construction industry, including significant experience in operations management or senior field supervision.
  • Commercial Dive School Diploma required
  • Knowledge of project estimating, scheduling, and contract management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • A proactive work ethic with the ability to travel up to 50%, often with little or no notice , to resolve urgent operational issues.
  • In-depth understanding of, or a willingness to learn, occupational safety standards for general industry, maritime, and construction.
  • Current ADCI (or equivalent) commercial diving/supervisor certification, First Aid/CPR/AED, and a valid driver's license.

  • Potable diving experience is a huge plus!

Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Direct all aspects of dive operations to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable project execution.
  • Strategic Growth: Partner with the CEO to identify new maritime markets and cultivate client relationships.
  • Crew Management: Lead, mentor, and oversee the performance of all Divers and Dive Supervisors.
  • Project Synergy: Work with Estimating and Project Management teams to develop accurate dive plans and facilitate seamless transitions from bid to execution.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA, ADCI, and other applicable regulations.
  • Resource Management: Oversee the maintenance and readiness of all diving equipment and track diver certifications.
