About The Position

The Connecticut River Academy (http://www.ctriveracademy.org) is a Sustainability Studies/Early College magnet school operated by Goodwin University on its river campus in East Hartford serving students in grades 6 through 12. We are actively searching for a school-certified full time District wide Social Worker to join our dynamic team of educators for the 2025-26 school year. Responsibilities will include facilitating small social skills groups, providing individual counseling related to IEP goals and objectives, supporting families, making connections with outside agencies, consulting and collaborating closely with the school team, and completing assessments as appropriate. The qualified candidate will have previous experience working in a school, hospital, or clinic setting with adolescents and teens. Experience working with culturally, socially, and economically diverse student/parent populations. It is preferred that the candidate have experience creating and implementing IEPs. Experience with school-based social emotional supports, cognitive behavioral therapy, and/or school wide and individualized learning and behavior systems preferred. Proper certifications required.
