About The Position

Daikin Applied is seeking a District Service and Sales Manager for the Houston area who will be responsible for the management and leadership of the field service office. This includes oversite of the Service and Solution Account Managers and Field Service Technician teams. This role ensures P&L objectives and customer expectations are met with a leader who will inspire others and drive district growth activities to meet annual quotas focused on operating income, revenue, and maintenance agreements. Location: Onsite in Houston with travel to customer sites. What you will do: Develops business plans, strategies, and objectives to ensure quotas and financial plans are met or exceeded. Plans and aligns work and resources so that customer needs, contractual obligations and service work is completed within appropriate timeframes and meets quality expectations. Interface with internal and external business partners, including, Manufacturer’s Reps, Equipment Sales Managers, National Accounts team, Solutions team to ensure sales objectives are communicated and achieved. Drives implementation of Daikin culture, including prioritization of safety and People Centered Management, for the district. Provides leadership for service team, including Service Coordinators, Service Sales Representatives, and technicians. Coaches and develops employees to maximize performance and potential. Manages performance through recognition, regular feedback, performance reviews and/or corrective action. Recruits, interviews, hires, and ensures that training is provided for new employees. Ensures that on-going training and skill development is encouraged and provided for all employees. Includes staff in planning and decision-making, and fosters quality and process improvement focus on others. Takes responsibility for subordinates’ activities. Solicits and applies customer feedback (internal and external); improves processes, products, and services. Manages company assets and inventory to ensure proper cost control and operational efficiency. Ensures the local office is compliant with all federal, state, and local legal regulations and statutes, including prevailing wage, legal posting requirements, and safety regulations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience considered.
  • 6+ years related work experience in HVAC sales, service, or adjacent industry.
  • 4+ years direct and/or indirect people leadership experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Commercial HVAC experience strongly preferred.
