About The Position

RahrBSG is looking for a District Sales Rep to join our team in Texas. The District Sales Representative is responsible for meeting or exceeding sales targets by conducting frequent in-person visits to taprooms, breweries, brewpubs, and events within their assigned district. This role acts as the face of the company in the local brewing community, driving sales through trust, product knowledge, and genuine enthusiasm for craft beer. As a member of the commercial team, the District Sales Representative is dedicated to fostering strong customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving business growth through exceptional service and account management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong passion for and deep knowledge of the craft brewing industry, backed by hands-on brewing experience required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing role within sales, hospitality, brewing, beverage distribution, or similar industry.
  • Strong computer knowledge/proficiency in Microsoft Office—intermediate Excel skills preferred.
  • Microsoft Dynamics and Salesforce Service Cloud experience a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 80% of the time within assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow a portfolio of brewery accounts within an assigned territory, actively pursuing opportunities to sell malt, hops, and brewing ingredients.
  • Accountable to meeting or exceeding sales targets and business objectives.
  • Drive volume sales and book of business margin contribution both within the defined product categories of the company commercial sales cycle priorities and across all other product categories.
  • Establish and maintain a high-touch, in-person sales approach in the assigned territory.
  • Conduct regular, in-person visits to local breweries, taprooms, and relevant industry events to build brand familiarity, long-term relationships with decision-makers, and generate sales.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers, serving as their primary point of contact.
  • Regularly review customer accounts to identify opportunities to best serve their needs.
  • Collaborate with Sales leaders and the Customer Service team to support ongoing client relationships through follow-ups, promotions, and customer experience insights.
  • Provide reliable follow-through and follow-up to all customer concerns or opportunities following site visits.
  • Represent the company at local beer festivals, trade shows, and industry gatherings to promote product knowledge and customer connection.
  • Maintain accurate records of visit details, production volumes, and follow-up actions in the CRM system.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base within the market.
  • Gather pertinent industry and competitive data to keep the company informed of new sales opportunities and competition within the company’s market.
  • Remain knowledgeable about current offerings, market trends, local brewing activities, and more for discussion of products with potential customers.
  • Coordinate samples, brochures, and other promotional materials as needed to support engagement efforts.
  • Shadow and learn from Sales leaders to gain skills in forecasting, account management, and value-based selling.
  • Assist with ongoing customer maintenance activities, including payment collection and terms reviews, as needed.
  • Track and submit accurate expense reports in a timely manner, ensuring company policies are consistently followed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the company, its goals, and operational needs.
