About The Position

The District Sales Manager will effectively manage, train, and direct Corporate, Area, and/or Regional Sales Representatives to achieve new account acquisitions and revenue growth in the assigned sales district. This role is pivotal in driving sales performance, fostering team development, and meeting organizational sales goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years in new business sales with a proven ability to meet or exceed territory quotas.
  • Demonstrated success in motivating and training sales staff. Previous managerial experience is preferred.
  • Must meet minimum acceptable driving criteria.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and strategic planning skills with the ability to analyze and enhance sales processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and evaluate Sales Representatives to achieve district sales quotas and develop their skills in prospecting, proposal preparation, and closing deals.
  • Perform field and territory checks as needed, collaborating with local management to develop cooperative lead programs among Service, Production, and Sales personnel.
  • Regularly review SalesLogix reports and consult with team members to implement corrections and consistently achieve sales targets.
  • Develop strategies for acquiring at least one "Pride Account" per Sales Representative each fiscal year.
  • Assist Sales Representatives in preparing proposals and delivering presentations, including for high-priority accounts.
  • Plan and recommend participation in trade shows; manage logistics, staffing, and lead distribution for assigned events.
  • Test new products and markets as requested by the VP of Sales & Marketing.
  • Recommend and implement sales territory structure and realignments.
  • Conduct annual operational and performance reviews for both the market center and individual Sales Representatives.
  • Ensure achievement of Annual District Sales Revenue Plans.
  • Take on special projects as directed by Corporate Marketing.
