About The Position

As a District Sales Manager, you will lead a team of pharmaceutical sales professionals—ranging from early-career individuals to tenured experts—within the Primary Care market. Your leadership will drive district performance, support team development, and ensure we deliver exceptional value to healthcare providers and patients. As a District Sales Manager, you will be more than a strategist, you will be a catalyst for team success. Your ability to lead through complexity and change will be critical during high-impact moments such as product launches. You will inspire confidence and clarity for both new-to-industry professionals and seasoned experts, ensuring alignment, engagement, and readiness across the district. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7-10+ years of demonstrated sales, B2B, or commercial experience or a combination of pharmaceutical, healthcare, scientific, clinical, institutional, or related industry experience
  • 3+ years of year-over-year pharma sales leadership experience
  • Proven ability to lead teams through dynamic environments, including onboarding new-to-industry talent while maintaining engagement and performance among experienced team members.
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Prior launch experience
  • Previous therapeutic experience in CVRM, Cardiovascular
  • Some experience in Primary Care for a pharma manufacturer
  • Demonstrated success in guiding teams through complex product launches, ensuring alignment, motivation, and readiness across varying levels of experience.
  • Clinical Skill Deep understanding of cardiovascular and primary care pharmaceutical products, disease states, and clinical guidelines.
  • Business Acumen Strong grasp of market dynamics, budget considerations, formulary access, and provider engagement.
  • Coaching Excellence Ability to develop and inspire teams while supporting strong, value-driven relationships with healthcare providers.
  • Team Leadership Proven ability to set direction, drive accountability, and build high-performing teams.

  • Apply solid knowledge of sales metrics, market dynamics, and budget management to optimize district performance.
  • Provide actionable insights to inform brand strategy and execution.
  • Coach and develop sales representatives to enhance skills, strengthen customer engagement, and support career progression.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture with clear expectations and continuous development.
  • Identify growth opportunities and leverage market insights to implement innovative sales strategies.
  • Enable team success through effective multi-channel customer engagement and appropriate use of technology.
