District Sales Manager PURPOSE AND SCOPE This position is responsible for maximizing the sales within the respective district through effective management and training of the salesforce, as well as ensuring repetitive sales through the development of positive long-term customer relationships. Responsible for maximizing the sales within the respective district through effective management and training of the salesforce, as well as ensuring repetitive sales through the development of positive long-term customer relationships. The District Sales Manager oversees all classifications of sales representatives within the assigned portion of the district. Provide ongoing assistance to the salesforce through direct sales involvement. In addition, the manager will provide guidance in the form of sales training, including the development of sales strategies which result in maximizing the effectiveness of the salespeople in the field. Responsible for meeting or exceeding the sales budget as established by the VPGM. The District Sales Manager is expected to be in the field approximately 60% of the time. The amount of overnight travel will vary from office to office depending upon the geographic size of the district and the number of branch locations.
