R&I District Sales Manager, Primary Care – Long Island (Suffolk County) At AstraZeneca, we turn ideas into life changing medicines. The AstraZeneca’s US Primary Care - Respiratory and Immunology (R&I) Team holds a unique position in respiratory disease, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and Lupus, with a range of differentiated potential medicines in development by using novel combinations, biologics and devices. The pipeline also has several promising assets in inflammatory and autoimmune diseases within areas such as psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, systemic lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. As a District Sales Manager for the Primary Care Team, you’ll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients’ lives. The District covers the Long Island area such as Bayshore, Riverhead, Smithtown, etc. Suffolk county surrounding area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ yrs Proven Sales, B2B, or Commercial experience or a combination of: pharmaceutical, healthcare, scientific, clinical, institutional, or related industry
  • Proven leadership capabilities and/or people management experience
  • A valid driver’s license and safe driving record

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates strong understanding of pharmaceutical products, disease states and treatment guidelines within the primary care setting.
  • Possesses and demonstrates a proven grasp of sales metrics, market analysis, and budget management within the primary care environment.
  • Shares insights to guide brand strategy.
  • Actively engages in coaching and development of sales representatives to enhance their performance and professional growth, including in field with customer engagement.
  • Cultivates a collaborative and performance-driven team environment, setting clear expectations and providing necessary support for sales representatives to excel.
  • Actively seeks out opportunities for growth, leveraging market insights and customer feedback to drive innovative sales strategies.
  • Enables team to gain access via multiple selling channels, leveraging relevant technology to achieve impact.
