About The Position

Requirements

  • Must be computer literate.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with little direct supervision.
  • Highly organized with the ability to handle competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, train, and direct Sales Representatives to achieve sales goals and placement objectives.
  • Conduct strategic sales negotiations with key accounts.
  • Set up schedules and appointments to obtain new accounts and service existing accounts.
  • Survey market area to detect business trends and opportunities for new products.
  • Assist in the development of sales forecasts and scheduling of product.
  • Control and manage sales performance by measuring and reporting results.
  • Plan and execute sales and promotional activities to counter competitive trends.
  • Conduct weekly sales meetings to disseminate supplier information and obtain feedback.
  • Prepare and maintain required paperwork, reports, and records.
  • Manage selling expenses to authorized levels.
  • Manage territory when a Sales Representative is on vacation.
  • Prepare and execute appropriate promotions.
  • Manage the merchandising staff, including hiring and performance reviews.
  • Manage labor hours within the merchandising department to stay within budget levels.
  • Ensure products are stocked properly and displays are to standards.
