About The Position

Sodexo’s Universities Segment is seeking a dynamic District Registered Dietitian to provide nutrition and wellness support across university accounts in the Northeast Pennsylvania region. The District Registered Dietitian will support up to five university accounts and may provide temporary support to other regions as business needs arise. The home account for this position is Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. This is an on-site position at Lehigh University with Approximately 40% travel annually within Northeast Pennsylvania to support accounts in the district. Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian credentialed with CDR and licensed in PA
  • expert on dietary preferences and allergies and serve to guide nutritional choices accordingly
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels
  • ability to effectively engage, motivate and influence others regarding their nutrition
  • strong presentation skills
  • ability to manage competing priorities with the ability to adapt the changing needs of the role
  • Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian

Responsibilities

  • Provide nutrition support for five universities through collaboration with executive leadership, operations, marketing, and university health centers.
  • Provide oversight of our special dining programs, including My Zone, Simple Servings, Simply3, Mindful, and Vegan offerings by conducting regular dining services audits and training managers and culinary teams to ensure program excellence.
  • Serve as a campus liaison between students and dining services to accommodate students' dietary needs and adapt offerings to reflect emerging trends in nutrition.
  • Establish and/or implement standards for client satisfaction and monitor performance against those standards
