District Operations Manager (Missouri) We are seeking a high-drive, hands-on leader to oversee our commercial and residential landscape and lawn care operations across Missouri. This isn't a "desk job"—we need a District Manager who thrives in the field, visiting sites, mentoring crews, and ensuring our high standards are met at every location. The ideal candidate has "dirt under their fingernails" and the business acumen to match. A major plus is given to candidates who have previously owned, operated, or held top-level leadership in their own landscaping or service-based business.

Requirements

  • Industry Veteran: 7+ years in a leadership role (District, Area, or Owner/Operator) specifically within the landscaping, hardscape, or lawn care industry.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Proven experience managing P&Ls, budgets, and business strategy—previous business ownership is highly preferred.
  • Hands-on Approach: A deep understanding of landscaping practices and a genuine desire to be in the field rather than behind a computer.
  • Missouri Mobility: Valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel extensively across the state to engage with our teams.
  • Relentless Standards: Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering a premium customer experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience managing P&Ls, budgets, and business strategy—previous business ownership is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Active Field Leadership: Spend significant time on-site at various Missouri locations to ensure operational excellence, safety compliance, and crew efficiency.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive profitability and growth by optimizing day-to-day workflows, managing KPIs, and overseeing district-wide budgets and inventory.
  • Team Mentorship: Lead and develop site managers and crew leaders through direct coaching, fostering a culture of accountability and "ownership" at the local level.
  • Client Engagement: Act as the face of the brand for key accounts; conduct regular site walkthroughs to guarantee quality and identify opportunities for service expansion.
  • Strategic Growth: Partner with sales to land new accounts and implement marketing strategies that solidify our presence across the state.
