About The Position

The District Marine Service Manager is responsible for delivering technical service support and education to marine dealers, enhancing customer satisfaction and dealer service efforts. This role involves significant travel to marine dealers, providing training, resolving customer relations issues, and acting as a liaison between Honda Marine and its dealers. The position requires a strong understanding of marine products and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Industrial Field preferred, or equivalent experience in a related technical field.
  • Vocational or marine technical training education is desirable.
  • 5 years of technical experience and at least 2 years of management experience in the marine industry or related field.
  • Good working knowledge of the marine industry and products, including marine internal combustion engines and diagnostics.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with internal and external personnel.
  • Ability to operate and train on automotive/marine precision measuring equipment and engine monitoring equipment.
  • Proficient in PC computer systems and common office applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in service management or as a field service representative in the marine industry.
  • Strong negotiation and motivation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer support for dealers and retail customers regarding product issues.
  • Deliver field technical product information and report product flaws back to Japan.
  • Conduct technical training and motivate dealership personnel.
  • Complete special projects, including performance testing and training staff.
  • Support Techline call duties by assisting with dealer issues.
