About The Position

The District Manager at America's Best is responsible for leading all operational and strategic activities of retail stores within a specified territory. This role focuses on driving profitable sales, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining compliance with company standards. The District Manager will also mentor and develop store managers, optimize store operations, and analyze business performance to identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 6+ years of retail management or operations experience.
  • Proven experience as a multi-unit manager in the optical industry.
  • Experience in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Knowledge of the optical industry.
  • ABO and NCLE Certification (Preferred).
  • Ability to travel throughout the district to perform responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Drive profitable sales through effective business analytics and identifying financial opportunities.
  • Execute the business plan and associated programs to deliver desired sales and profit results with high customer service standards.
  • Resolve escalated performance and customer service issues.
  • Optimize and oversee store operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies and safety protocols.
  • Conduct effective store visits focused on business analysis, associates, product, presentation, and processes.
  • Interface with all doctors and maintain appropriate professional relations.
  • Provide reports to the Regional VP/Regional Director regarding store progress toward financial and customer service goals.
  • Analyze reports to identify trends and potential problems, acting proactively to address them.
  • Ensure quality standards are met and work with store staff to reduce the number of remakes.
  • Ensure effective merchandising and execution of marketing and pricing promotions according to brand standards.
  • Maintain frequent contact with store management to discuss performance and engagement strategies.
  • Forecast staffing needs, recruit, select, and retain high-caliber staff.
  • Assess managers to identify talent opportunities and plan for vacancies in advance.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of managers towards effective collaboration and goal attainment.
