About The Position

This role leads the execution and performance of a live plant merchandising program across 9 Home Depot Gardens Centers in the Northern New Jersey, Passaic County area. As a hands‑on people leader, you’ll build and develop a team of merchandisers while partnering closely with store leadership to drive sales, maintain strong visual standards, and deliver an outstanding customer experience.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Prior merchandising experience (live goods or retail preferred)
• 2 + years people management experience
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, seasonal environment
• Flexible availability, including weekends and key holidays during peak season
• Ability to travel within the assigned district
• Must reside within the designated area or be willing to relocate

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and lead a team of merchandisers based on seasonal and budget needs
• Develop your team through structured onboarding, coaching, and performance feedback
• Ensure consistent execution of visual merchandising standards across all assigned garden centers
• Travel regularly within your district to provide hands‑on support, training, and store engagement
• Partner with Walmart store leadership to optimize product placement, signage, and inventory flow
• Build strong working relationships with both internal teams and store partners
