About The Position

The Lincoln Journal Star, a Lee Enterprises company, is seeking a District Manager to oversee home delivery within Lincoln or outlying areas. Hours are flexible, but overnight and early morning availability is required.
Be a part of selecting and working with contracted carriers and resolving subscriber issues. This position works closely with carriers and customers to ensure satisfaction and deliver shortages to carriers and subscribers. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team. This position requires tenacity, consistency, good judgment, quick decision making and solid interpersonal skills. Must have strong time management skills, including the ability to set priorities and give attention to detail.

Requirements

• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Be a minimum of 18 years old with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Possess good communication, basic math and computer skills.
• Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation and satisfactory driving record are required.

Nice To Haves

• Delivery, Warehouse, and\or management experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and manage independent contractors dedicated to providing service and circulation growth results of company products.
• Ensure that all aspects of delivery run smoothly, including helping to deliver routes and running our distribution center.
• Maintain documentation for tracking, reporting, and independent contractor reimbursements.
• Manage and develop accurate subscriber information and distribution lists.
• Other duties as assigned.
