About The Position

As LAKE’s District Manager, you will oversee a curated portfolio of stores, reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer and working closely with Store Managers to cultivate an environment that blends effortless service, strong leadership, and operational discipline. By developing exceptional teams who elevate the client experience, you will ensure that every store reflects LAKE’s belief that downtime is sacred, comfort is critical, and great sleep is enhanced by quality sleepwear. Your mission To lead and develop high-performing, hospitality-driven store teams that deliver exceptional client experiences while driving operational excellence, profitable growth, and strong brand consistency across the retail portfolio.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of retail leadership experience, including multi-unit or district-level oversight within a premium or service-driven retail environment.
  • A proven ability to develop Store Managers and teams who consistently exceed performance goals through thoughtful coaching, accountability, and clear leadership.
  • Strong business acumen with experience interpreting P&L performance, identifying operational and sales trends, and translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and people leadership skills, with the ability to inspire teams, lead through influence, and foster environments where employees feel valued and empowered.
  • A strong understanding of merchandising and product storytelling, with the ability to partner cross-functionally to drive both brand presentation and sales results.
  • An entrepreneurial and agile mindset, comfortable navigating ambiguity while maintaining a clear focus on priorities and outcomes.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the store portfolio and to HQ as needed to support teams and ensure a consistent brand experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a portfolio of stores, coaching and developing Store Managers and leadership teams to deliver elevated hospitality, strong sales performance, and best-in-class operational and visual execution.
  • Build and retain exceptional teams by attracting, developing, and empowering leaders who embody LAKE’s values and hospitality-first culture.
  • Champion a client-centered mindset across stores, ensuring clienteling strategies and relationship building create intentional, memorable experiences that deepen brand loyalty.
  • Drive business performance through thoughtful KPI review, clear expectations, and purposeful coaching that strengthens both individual leadership capabilities and team performance.
  • Cultivate an inclusive and collaborative culture across the portfolio where hospitality, belonging, and high standards of excellence are deeply embedded.
  • Analyze product performance across stores and partner closely with merchandising and allocation teams to translate insights into compelling product stories and strong sales outcomes.
  • Conduct regular store visits, partnering with Store Managers to review business trends, identify opportunities, and implement strategies that drive sustainable growth.
  • Ensure every store reflects LAKE’s visual merchandising and retail presentation standards, creating inspiring environments that bring the brand to life.
  • Support retail expansion initiatives through strong project leadership and by onboarding and developing leaders who can successfully scale LAKE’s culture and client experience.
