About The Position

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven District Manager to oversee a portfolio of affordable housing communities within the St. Louis, Missouri area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property management, particularly in HUD, LIHTC, and other affordable housing programs , with proven leadership skills to guide onsite teams and ensure compliance, occupancy, and financial goals are met.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in multi-site property management, with 3 + years in affordable housing programs (HUD, LIHTC, Section 8, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of Fair Housing , REAC , MOR , and compliance regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of multiple affordable housing communities within assigned region.
  • Ensure full compliance with HUD, LIHTC, and other affordable housing program requirements.
  • Provide leadership, training, and support to community managers and onsite staff.
  • Monitor financial performance and assist in budgeting, forecasting, and expense control.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure curb appeal, maintenance standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Foster strong relationships with residents, ownership, and regulatory agencies.
  • Oversee marketing, leasing, and occupancy initiatives to maintain optimal performance.
  • Review and approve reports, audits, and compliance documentation as required.
  • Lead by example in promoting a positive, professional, and inclusive work culture.
