About The Position

The District Manager (DM) is responsible for overseeing operations and merchandising for a group of stores within a designated geographic area. The role focuses on driving business results through effective coaching of store leadership teams, with an emphasis on sales and profit growth, expense control, and enhancing customer experience.

Requirements

• College preferred.
• 2-5 years multi-unit experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Energetic, results-oriented, and competitive with a drive to succeed.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work a minimum of 45 hours per week based on business needs.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift and move 45 pounds or more regularly.
• Ability to climb ladders and perform physical tasks related to stocking merchandise.
• Ability to travel extensively to store locations and the Sales Support Center.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for driving profitable sales and protecting company assets across the assigned geographic area.
• Develops District and Area performance targets and monitors achievement of benchmarks and goals.
• Uses objective business analysis to evaluate business choices and identify solutions.
• Responsible for networking and recruiting to ensure appropriate staffing levels in stores.
• Builds high performing teams to accomplish company goals and sustains productive relationships across functions.
• Creates an atmosphere of accountability for individual and team performance.
• Models company values and ensures respectful treatment of all team members.
• Communicates strategies and business opportunities clearly to the district or area.
• Identifies opportunities consistent with company strategies and takes action to address them.
• Ensures timely implementation of changes in initiatives and direction to drive results.
