About The Position

The District Leader, Rx at CVS Health is responsible for overseeing the clinical and business operations of up to 18 retail pharmacies, ensuring patient safety and business success. This role involves coaching and developing Pharmacy Managers, managing a team of approximately 200 employees, and driving performance improvements across the district. The District Leader is expected to cultivate a strong talent pipeline, implement business strategies, and ensure compliance with regulations while delivering exceptional patient care.

Requirements

• Active Pharmacist license in the state of Maryland.
• 5+ years as a practicing Pharmacist, ideally in a retail setting.
• Completion of the LEARNRx program within 120 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• PharmD preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as a multi-unit manager.
• 1+ year of experience in CVS Retail store or field roles.
• 8 to 10 years of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and maintain a healthy Pharmacist talent pipeline, including overseeing the development of interns and recruitment of new grads.
• Set the District talent agenda for hourly colleagues, ensuring appropriate staffing and succession planning.
• Communicate District priorities based on Corporate and Regional direction to engage Pharmacy Managers.
• Conduct regular check-ins with Pharmacy Managers to track progress against business goals.
• Improve pharmacy performance measures by coaching Pharmacy Managers to identify and address barriers to success.
• Oversee patient safety and provide regulatory oversight for pharmacies.
• Grow the business through engagement with acquisitions and new store openings.
