About The Position

District Intervention Manager - Math This is a vacancy for the 26-27 school year with a target start date of July 1, 2026 Mission: The District Intervention Manager- Math plays a critical role on the Curriculum and Instruction team, driving the implementation of the district’s vision for MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) intervention. In close coordination with the Managing Directors of Curriculum and Instructional Design and Implementation Managers, this role ensures that tiered intervention practices are tightly aligned to Tier 1 curriculum and instructional approaches. Serving students in grades K–8, the Coach leads the design, execution, and continuous improvement of intervention courses. This includes supporting the administration and integrated data analysis of the district’s assessment program, including universal screeners, diagnostic assessments, and progress monitoring tools for students receiving intervention services. The District Intervention Manager (DIM) supports campus and regional instructional teams by providing targeted coaching, developing high-impact resources, and facilitating professional development that builds capacity for effective intervention delivery. Through collaboration and influence, the DIM ensures fidelity of implementation and data-driven decision-making to accelerate student achievement and close academic gaps. Supervisory Responsibilities: The District Intervention Manager provides dotted line support the Regional Intervention Coaches as a subject matter expert, strategic thought partner, and instructional leader—offering guidance, modeling best practices, and supporting professional development to strengthen intervention fidelity and student outcomes. Location: This is a full-time position based in Texas, with preference given to candidates who live in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin (Midland/Odessa), Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and Tarrant County (Fort Worth), or who are willing to relocate. Travel Expectations: Travel Expectations are up to 25% at the busiest times of the year outside of region travel and 25-50% within region travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education
  • A minimum 5 years of experience in education
  • High level of proficiency with the Office 365 suite
  • Content-specific knowledge: To coach regional and campus staff through joint observations, resource creation, and professional development delivered to teachers, campus leaders and regional leaders.
  • Instructional coaching knowledge: To coach regional staff through coaching cycles to increase the impact of their influence during campus visits and creation of professional development aligned to our coaching model.
  • Professional development knowledge: To design and facilitate effective professional development for campus (teachers and leaders), regional and national team members
  • Program-specific knowledge: To coach and model identifying program gaps and most pressing programs in programmatic delivery to regional and campus staff
  • Program-specific data analysis for benchmarks and weekly data dives to create high-leverage next steps for district and/or regions on a weekly and quarterly basis.
  • Coach regional and campus staff on data analysis to increase their own capacity to identify high leverage and SMART goals for their region and/or campus specifics.
  • Proven experience translating data and metrics to create action plans with national, regional, and campus roles and bandwidth taken into consideration.
  • Demonstrable experience managing high-profile projects impacting the intervention programs throughout the district and weighing state-specific requirements through influencing national, regional and campus roles.
  • Robust written and verbal communication portfolio for training, resource development, and data analysis communication to the district.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in strategy, analysis, project management, and interacting/influencing national, regional and campus leaders through various communication methods including professional development, tacticals , touchpoints and other key stakeholders cascading messages.

Responsibilities

  • Drive grade level proficiency growth though Tier 2 and 3 intervention by leveraging IDEA operating mechanisms (training, check-ins, data analysis)
  • Participate as a key member of the MTSS National team to provide resources, guidance, and coaching on MTSS/RTI.
  • Collaborate with Director of Student Performance and Advocacy, Department of Scheduling, VP of Curriculum and Instruction and other stakeholders to ensure master scheduling includes intervention and is compliant with state requirements.
  • Build capacity in instructional leaders on the Academic Services, Regional, and Schools Teams to provide effective observation feedback in intervention settings.
  • Collaborate, develop, and facilitate professional development to campus (leaders and teachers), regional and national team members as needed
  • Conducts weekly data analysis and data calls for priority regions as needed
  • Communicate with a variety of audiences, primarily internal, and within a variety of contexts, including but not limited to functional progress toward goals, organizational priorities, and functional scopes of work within intervention.
  • Collaborate across HQ Teams to ensure program alignment with intervention implementation.
  • Ensure alignment between Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention strategies and Tier 1 curriculum and instructional practices.
  • Support the administration and implementation of universal screeners, diagnostic assessments, and progress monitoring tools for K–8 intervention students.
  • Analyze student performance data to identify trends and inform instructional adjustments across campuses and regions.
  • Develop, refine, and disseminate high-quality intervention resources aligned to district academic priorities.
  • Conduct fidelity checks and provide feedback to improve consistency and effectiveness of MTSS implementation.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to embed intervention into campus systems, schedules, and instructional planning.
  • Lead and support professional learning communities focused on intervention best practices and data-driven instruction.
  • Monitor and report on intervention program impact, including progress toward district goals and student achievement outcomes.
  • Provide strategic coaching and thought partnership to Regional Intervention Coaches through dotted line support in person and virtually.
  • Collaborate with Instructional Design and Implementation Managers to ensure intervention practices reinforce core instructional strategies.
  • Serve as a liaison between Curriculum and Instruction and Special Programs to ensure cohesive intervention implementation across the district.
