RESPONSIBLE FOR INTEGRATING ALL ASPECTS OF TIMBERLAND MANAGEMENT FOR AN ASSIGNED DISTRICT OF APPROXIMATELY 200, 000 ACRES. SUPERVISE STAFF OF RESOURCE FORESTERS, ROAD CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISORS AND SUPPORT STAFF. DEVELOP CAPITAL AND OPERATING BUDGETS, AND ENSURE THAT ANNUAL INVENTORY, PROPERTY MANAGEMENT, SILVICULTURE, HARVESTING, AND TRANSPORTATION ACTIVITIES ARE COMPLETED FOR A FOREST DISTRICT. PROVIDE LEADERSHIP FOR FULL IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT AND SAFETY PROGRAMS FOR THE DISTRICT OF RESPONSIBILITY. THE SALARY RANGE FOR THIS POSITION IS $99,825.00 - $166,375.00. THE COMPENSATION RANGE REPRESENTS THE LOW AND HIGH END OF THE BASE COMPENSATION RANGE FOR THIS POSITION. ACTUAL COMPENSATION WILL VARY BASED ON VARIOUS FACTORS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND PERFORMANCE. THIS POSITION IS BONUS ELIGIBLE WITH A TARGET VALUE OF 15% OF SALARY. FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT: PREPARE AND MANAGE ANNUAL CAPITAL AND OPERATING BUDGETS FOR ASSIGNED DISTRICT. RESPONSIBLE FOR MEETING QUARTERLY AND ANNUAL FINANCIAL OBJECTIVES, COST CONTROL TARGETS AND PROFIT/LOSS RESPONSIBILITY FOR ASSIGNED DISTRICT. MANAGE LOG DELIVIERIES TO CUSTOMERS TO ENSURE THAT LOGS ARE DELIVERED ON TIME, ON SPEC AND ACCORDING TO QUALITY STANDARDS. FORECAST AND TRACK WEEKLY, MONTHLY AND ANNUAL PRODUCTION FOR AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY. FOREST PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT: MANAGE IMPLEMENTATION OF BOTH SHORT- AND LONG-TERM FOREST ASSET MANAGEMENT PLANS INCLUDING INVENTORY, TRANSPORTATION, PROPERTY MANAGEMENT, SILVICULTURE, HARVESTING AND ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE. LEAD TACTICAL LEVEL HARVEST PLANNING. PREPARE AND EXECUTE ANNUAL TIMBER HARVEST PLANS. LEAD IMPLEMENTATION OF SILVICULTURAL ACTIVITIES ON ASSIGNED DISTRICT INCLUDING SITE PREPARATION, REFORESTATION, PRE-COMMERCIAL THINNING, COMMERCIAL THINNING AND FERTILIZATION. WORK CLOSELY WITH REAL ESTATE STAFF TO STRATIFY LAND BASE FOR NON-STRATEGIC PROPERTIES AND OTHER VALUE-ADDED OPPORTUNITIES. PREPARE NON-STRATEGIC PROPERTIES FOR DISPOSAL. LEAD TRANSPORTATION PLANNING EFFORTS FOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE PROGRAMS. PROVIDE OVERSIGHT OF LOGGING, SILVICULTURE AND FOREST MANAGEMENT ACTIVITIES. LEADERSHIP: LEAD, SUPERVISE AND DIRECT EMPLOYEES TO ACHIEVE UNIT AND DISTRICT OBJECTIVES. PARTICIPATE AS A MEMBER OF THE IDAHO UNIT LEADERSHIP TEAM. COACH AND MENTOR EMPLOYEES TO EXCEL AND GROW WITHIN OR BEYOND THEIR POSITION. COORDINATE TRAINING AND COMMUNICATION ACTIVITIES FOR EMPLOYEES AND CONTRACTORS. MAINTAIN INVOLVEMENT WITH LOCAL COMMUNITIES, GENERAL PUBLIC, STATE AND FEDERAL AGENCIES, AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS IN AND AROUND ASSIGNED DISTRICT. SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL: PARTICIPATE IN THE COMPLIANCE OF ALL STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES (SOP’S) BY EMPLOYEES AND CONTRACTORS AND ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH SAFETY PROGRAMS, FOREST STEWARDSHIP PRINCIPALS AND BMP’S. PARTICIPATE IN PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS AND ASSOCIATIONS RELATED TO RESOURCE MANAGEMENT AND REPRESENT POTLATCHDELTIC IN OCCASIONAL RESEARCH STUDIES AND SURVEYS. CONDUCT AND DOCUMENT SAFETY MEETINGS. REVIEW NEAR MISSES AND ACCIDENTS AND LOOK FOR TRENDS. IMPLEMENT SOLUTIONS FOR SAFETY ISSUES.
