About The Position

The District Facilities and Security Support position is responsible for ensuring the security, safety, and proper performance of district facilities and systems. This full-time role involves a variety of tasks related to facility management and security services, requiring effective communication and technical skills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in the use of computer and internet-based applications.
  • Hold a valid certificate in a District approved student intervention system or be able to obtain it within 60 days.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Hold a valid Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) certificate or be able to obtain it within 30 days.
  • Hold a valid Oregon driver's license.
  • Hold a valid First aid/CPR certification or be able to obtain one in 30 days.
  • General understanding of fire panels, HVAC, refrigeration, and intrusion systems.
  • Knowledge of regulations governing work within identified trades.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in security services preferred.
  • Knowledge and skills in building envelope systems such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the security and safety of District facilities.
  • Monitor and maintain proper building performance.
  • Utilize computer and internet-based applications for reporting and communication.
  • Assist in the management of fire panels, HVAC, refrigeration, and access control systems.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and practices within identified trades.
