Shall be responsible for providing district-wide consultation and support in all areas of behavior management.
Requirements
Master degree or higher in behavioral science related studies
BCBA License
Extensive knowledge in the areas of: supporting students with behavioral challenges, behavior management best practices, de-escalation techniques, and crisis intervention strategies
Responsibilities
Serve as an information clearinghouse for school personnel regarding appropriate behavior management techniques.
Provide ongoing consultation to staff working with students who exhibit behavioral difficulties.
Provide ongoing consultation to staff who work with students in Special Education program.
Provide support for teams completing Functional Behavior Assessments and creating Behavior Intervention Plans
Reflect on special education data, and feedback from teachers to plan staff development opportunities for teachers.
Pursues educational studies to maintain and improve professional levels of performance.
Other responsibilities as assigned by the District Special Education Administrators.
