Responsibilities

  • Perform complex and specialized legal office support work requiring independent judgment and technical skills.
  • Review and revise daily court calendars for criminal court hearings, making necessary corrections.
  • Research and assemble information for court proceedings and prepare reports using confidential data networks.
  • Respond to information requests from various stakeholders including attorneys, judges, and law enforcement personnel.
  • Organize and maintain case files, records, and logs, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Prepare forms, documents, and correspondence using a personal computer from drafts or notes.
  • Attend court proceedings as a clerk to prosecuting attorneys, ensuring all materials are accurate and complete.
  • Manage multiple case management systems and prepare legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Process incoming motions and confidential documents in a timely manner.
  • Review legal documents for accuracy and notify appropriate staff of any discrepancies.
  • Contribute to team efficiency by offering suggestions and participating in team activities.
  • Act as a receptionist, screening visitors and telephone calls, and directing them appropriately.
  • Provide assistance to other teams and may train others in work procedures.
