About The Position

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
  • Must possess Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
  • Must be able to operate manual transmission and necessary endorsements.
  • When hauling certain vehicles, may be required to have hazardous materials and tank endorsements.

Responsibilities

  • Hauling and dumping asphalt.
  • Loading and unloading equipment.
  • Partnering with Superintendent/Project Manager to ensure daily schedules are met.
  • Maintaining attendance according to company policy to ensure crew operates at normal efficiency level.
  • Operating equipment and transporting material under temperature extremes and for extended hours.
  • Maintaining a courteous and professional manner with co-workers, customers, and the public.
  • Following OSHA/MSHA safety standards.
  • Being flexible with last minute schedule changes, location changes, and time of shift changes.
  • Transporting material with attention to detail and emphasis on safety.
  • Performing/assisting with other positions for job completion.
  • Adhering to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintaining individual PPE in functional condition.
  • Checking truck for maintenance needed and reporting deficiencies promptly.
  • Passing drug test and criminal background check.
