About the position

The Distributor Order Processor at Frontier Co-op is responsible for preparing distributor orders by organizing product case lots and readying pallets for shipment. This role involves managing inbound and outbound mail, processing special orders, and ensuring accurate distribution of products. The position requires operating various equipment and maintaining safety standards while working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares distributor orders by retrieving and organizing product case lots.
  • May receive, sort, and deliver inbound and outbound mail and parcel post.
  • Organizes and prepares various special orders for accurate and timely distribution.
  • Operates AR Traffic station in distribution when needed.
  • Identifies order needs from allocation report and enters data into computer system.
  • Determines availability of product and generates pull sheets.
  • Gathers items from warehouse manually using carts and pallet jacks.
  • Sorts and scans cases of product.
  • Stacks cases onto pallets and shrink wraps pallets of goods for shipment.
  • Enters data into freight terminals and processes proper paperwork.
  • Creates invoices by entering order information into computer.
  • Transports finished pallets of inventory onto staging trailers and outbound freight carriers.
  • Works with Inventory Control Specialist to monitor inventory accuracy and document discrepancies.
  • Communicates with production to ensure required product availability.
  • Processes customs paperwork.
  • Maintains and orders postal equipment and supplies.
  • Sets up, operates, and maintains packing peanuts extruding system.
  • Follows safety rules and programs and participates in safety training.
  • Strives to reduce waste, recycle products, and reuse resources when practical.
  • Reports injuries and near misses promptly and proposes corrective action.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple notices and instructions, including operating procedures and safety rules.
  • Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Basic computer skills and use of hand-held scanner.
  • Ability to operate manual and electric pallet jacks and powered industrial trucks.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
