This position with the Duininck Asphalt & Paving team offers the opportunity to operate distributor trucks, apply tack coat materials to precise specifications, and work directly with a coordinated paving crew on a variety of roadway and commercial projects. The Role: Safely operate the distributor to apply tack according to paving specifications and project requirements. Prepare the distributor each day and monitor performance throughout operations to ensure quality and consistency. Work closely with crew members using hand signals and verbal communication to coordinate work and maintain safe operations. Perform daily inspections, lubrication, fluid checks, and basic maintenance to keep the distributor in safe operating condition. Report maintenance or repair needs to the shop team. Keep the equipment clean and prepare it for transport when required. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite environment. Follow supervisor instructions closely and complete assigned tasks with attention to detail.

Requirements

Individuals who work safely and have the courage to speak up when unsafe behavior or conditions arise.
CDL A with tanker endorsement and a current DOT health card.
Basic mechanical understanding of distributor operations.
Strong awareness of MSHA/OSHA regulations and PPE requirements.
Ability to work effectively within a paving crew and communicate clearly.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and a consistent focus on quality and safety.
Willingness to travel and work extended or irregular hours during the construction season.
