About The Position

We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for full-time Distribution in Grand Rapids at our 44th Street location. The distribution associate reports to the Distribution Supervisor, supporting the distribution department by performing the following functions: · Picking and shipping products to meet customer demands in a fast-paced environment. · Daily computer work, must learn Baan, LNCE, and Factory track application & scanners · Support truck down & expedite requests as needed – Will also support 5S standards · Will work in various positions assigned including but not limited to: Receiving, Inspection, Put-a-way, Order fulfillment and Shipping · Must obtain a powered fork-truck certification and demonstrate safe use & operation of power fork truck, pallet jacks and stock pickers · Repack products in compliance with customer specific requirements including bagging, labeling, packing and palletizing for outbound shipments. · Maintaining accurate inventory records/cycle counting. · Contact with both internal and external customers · Job is physical in nature: o Repetitive lifting 10-40 lbs., occasional lifting 60-80 lbs. o Will be stooping; kneeling; bending; twisting; overhead lifting, from lbs., waist, or below waist; pushing, pulling, walking and standing for long periods of time.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required
  • No disciplinary actions above a documented discussion for the past 12 months
  • Have the aptitude to learn and retain computer programs, Baan, LNCE, Factory track applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read and understand pick sheets, quality documents, customer requirements
  • Strong dependability and attendance record

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year previous manufacturing and shipping & receiving experience preferred
