About The Position

The Distribution Warehouse Maintenance position involves performing repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment and the building within a distribution center. The role requires attention to detail and a strong focus on safety, utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders and maintenance records effectively.

Requirements

• Experience in maintenance operations, particularly in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting complex equipment problems.
• Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in maintenance or related fields (e.g., HVAC, electrical, mechanical).
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and conduct preventative maintenance on material handling and building equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Utilize established PM and repair policies and procedures to return equipment to fully operational status.
• Read and understand technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) to repair/maintain equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex problems with equipment where the repair is not immediately visible or obvious.
• Work as a team member with operations and other technicians to support the facility in the repair and maintenance of equipment.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to understand workload and record actions (e.g., work orders, asset/labor history, inventory usage).
• Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates).
• Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment (e.g., lift trucks, pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, banana room equipment, electronic and electrical equipment) according to procedures.
