GEMCO Medical , a well-established and growing healthcare distribution company shipping over 15,000 packages a day with detailed accuracy, has IMMEDIATE OPENINGS for Warehouse Associates whose function includes shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, and facility maintenance services. The warehouse is fully air conditioned in summer, heated in the winter. Clean environment: not dusty, dark, or dirty. No protective clothing required. Dress code is comfortable clothing (sneakers, t-shirts, jeans, etc. all acceptable) Full-time schedule available is Monday through Friday; 9:15 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and 12:15 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (with shift differential). Position is located in Hudson, OH.

Requirements

  • Regularly use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk and stoop; kneel, crouch crawl, climb or balance.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Willingness to accept responsibility and work in a multi-task environment as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift at minimum 50 pounds.
  • Requires recognition of products by code, packaging and description.
  • General math, computer and reading comprehension skills.
  • Attention to detail
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Prepare orders for shipment in accordance with the pick ticket and customer requirements
  • Package and ship orders in accordance with packaging guidelines and accepted methods and practices
  • Unload, sort, count, package, and label inventory that is received
  • Operate distribution center equipment (where applicable) including forklifts in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Utilize WMS RF scanner and computer system for various distribution center activities
