About The Position

The Distribution Technician is responsible for the daily distribution of all inventory and special-order supplies that support both clinical and operational needs across the facility. This role ensures the efficient flow of materials by restocking par-level supply areas, fulfilling floor requisitions, and overseeing the accurate inspection, shipping, and receiving of stock and non-stock items and equipment. While this position does not involve direct patient care or access to confidential information, it plays a vital role in supporting patient care by maintaining an organized, responsive, and reliable supply chain.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
No previous experience required

Nice To Haves

1-2 years of experience in Supply Chain, Materials Management, or a related healthcare support role
Supply Chain or Inventory Management certification preferred

Responsibilities

Perform daily par counting, pulling, and restocking of storeroom and linen supplies.
Rotate inventory to prevent expired or obsolete items.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe storage areas.
Process supply orders and ensure timely fulfillment of requisitions.
Manage phone inquiries and resolve supply distribution issues promptly.
Collaborate closely with the Supply Coordinator and provide coverage during PTO or absences.
Assist with inspection, shipping, and receiving of stock and non-stock items.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support departmental operations.
