The Distribution Technician is responsible for the receiving, accounting and distributing of supplies and equipment shipped to the Medical Center. Responsible for the set-up, counting, filling and maintenance of par locations. Responsible for the daily maintenance, cleaning and organization of the warehouse. Oversees the distribution of linen, supplies and equipment utilized in the Medical Center. Enters data, both receipts and issues, into the computer system. Assists in the mailroom and performs shipping as required. Performs other duites as assigned. Our growth is creating great opportunities! Requirements

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • One year previous warehouse experience
  • Basic understanding of computers including Windows, data entry, word processing and spreadsheets
  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Be flexible enough to bend, twist and lift supplies
  • Ability to self-direct and exercise independent judgment in situations requiring follow-up and discussions other departments to ensure completeness of task and customer satisfaction
  • Works well in a team environment to accomplish common tasks to solve problems and enhance the smooth and efficient flow of the department
  • Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation
  • TB/PPD Surveillance Program
  • Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s)
  • Requires sitting for long periods of time, also stooping, bending, standing, and stretching
  • May require lifting up to 20 lbs
  • Must have manual dexterity for typing and computer data entry
  • Able to work under a stressful environment, work independently, capable of making sound decisions, be detail oriented, alert, and self-motivated
  • Ability to push/pull up to 40lbs., carry and lift up to 20lbs
