About The Position

The Distribution Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the distribution center, ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of inventory, and leading a team of warehouse staff. This role involves coordinating shipping and receiving activities, managing inventory levels, and implementing best practices for safety and efficiency while meeting KPI objectives.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
3-5 years of experience in distribution, warehousing, or logistics management.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in distribution.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

Supervise and train distribution team, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
Monitor daily operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
Seak continuous improvement by developing and implementing operational procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Conduct regular inventory audits and ensure proper stock levels are maintained.
Coordinate with other departments (e.g., sales, customer service) to fulfill orders and address any issues.
Analyze performance metrics and generate reports to assess operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
Resolve any issues related to shipping discrepancies or damaged goods.
Actively participate in the recruiting process, staffing at levels to meet the shipping volume and KPIs.
Foster a positive team environment, encouraging collaboration and continuous improvement.
