About The Position

A Distribution Supervisor is responsible for directly supervising hourly employees, setting shift and daily goals, managing inventory, driving success in all KPI’s and/or key business metrics (Safety, Quality, Service, Productivity tc.), driving performance improvements in managing cost and continuous improvement, and team member development.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or closely related field is required. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted in place of degree requirement.
• 1-2 years of experience or 4 year college degree in engineering, operations, manufacturing, or supply chain.
• Performing tasks with team members which includes lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience leading projects or teams in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organizes employee assignments and training to meet daily customer production schedules while maintaining safety and quality requirements
• Perform daily employee performance & attendance management actions
• Assist in developing and orientating new team members
• Drive and lead organizational strategic imperatives and initiatives
• Implement improvement ideas by leveraging team members feedback and suggestions on opportunities
• Assist in developing a culture focused on safety, quality, delivery and cost
• Communicate relevant business information, company policies, and business updates to team members
• Collaborate cross functionally with other departments and organizational stakeholders
