Our location in North Chicago, IL (Lake County) currently has an opportunity for a Distribution Supervisor, 2nd Shift for our Diagnostic division. You will be responsible for leading daily operations within the distribution center, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards while driving continuous improvement and cost-effective practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent operations experience.
  • 3-5 years in Supply Chain, Distribution or Operations.
  • Experience may include manufacturing or distribution environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Fork-lift certifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of materials and inventory computer systems.
  • Experience with CAPA and Change control preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of planning / inventory management or distribution systems.
  • Proven leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, issue resolution, and potentially multiple shifts.
  • Collaborate with internal and cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure adherence to GMP and compliance standards and monitor work environments.
  • Analyze trends, support financial and capital planning, recommend cost-saving initiatives.
  • Share information effectively, adapt communication to audience needs, and represent the function internally and externally.
  • Communicate departmental goals and performance outcomes clearly.
  • Use data and structured tools to identify and address performance gaps.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and allocate resources effectively.
  • Use problem-solving tools (e.g., fishbone diagrams, Pareto analysis) to identify and address performance gaps.
  • Support career growth through coaching, feedback, and development planning.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and recommend promotions or merit increases.
  • Recruit, interview, and select candidates for open positions.
