About The Position

The Distribution Specialist I position at Abbott involves performing manual and clerical duties related to the movement of materials within the Abbott Vascular Diagnostics division. Requirements

• H.S. diploma or equivalent plus 0-3 years of related work experience or equivalent combination.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Pulls finished goods parts from bins using a pick list and possibly a radio-frequency device to fill customer orders.
• Enters orders into the computer database using a bar code scanner.
• Packages orders according to specifications and prepares them for labeling and distribution.
• Types pertinent information into shipping software to generate printed labels for product shipment.
• Examines shipment containers for damage and verifies the accuracy of packing slips and invoices.
• Enters material information into the business computer system and generates receipt travelers for material traceability.
• Transports materials using a fork-lift, pallet jack, or truck as needed.
