About The Position

The Distribution Shipping Associate will ensure purchase orders are pulled and ready for shipment to all customers, including retail facilities and commercial contractors. This is a full-time role with a starting pay of $16 per hour, located at 3001 W. Kentucky Ave., Midland, TX 79701. The position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.
Knowledge of weight distribution and loading patterns.
The ability to adjust the controls of a machine or vehicle quickly and repeatedly to exact positions.
Must be available and willing to work such overtime per day or week as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
Forklift operator certification.
Successful completion of on-the-job training.

Nice To Haves

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

Organizes and pulls products together for proper shipment to customers.
Assists in inspecting products for correct quantity and premium quality before shipment.
Assists in stocking and organization of products to designated areas of the warehouse.
Loads and unloads merchandise and products for shipment on delivery trucks and vans.
Verifies purchase orders are accurate before shipment.
Ensures all products and merchandise are packaged and wrapped properly for safe and efficient transportation.
Assists in ensuring shipments are ready in accordance with the shipping schedule.
Operates a forklift and performs daily inspections that include maintaining the service log.
Attends team meetings and company training sessions as required.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
