About The Position

The Distribution Services Specialist (Summer Intern) position is designed to ensure timely receipt, safe and efficient recording, handling, and distribution of materials throughout Promega's Madison campus warehouses. The intern will be involved in various tasks that support the distribution services department and contribute to the overall efficiency of warehouse operations.

Requirements

• High School diploma or proven work experience that ensures you are ready to be successful in this role.
• Self-directed individual, willing to work in a team driven environment.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to work effectively with a broad range of departments.
• Ability to learn material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, deliver and initiate transfer of materials between Promega warehouses to ensure materials reach intended recipients on time.
• Maintain warehouse inventory records.
• Manage/maintain Promega warehouses keeping them in a clean and orderly condition.
• Operate equipment proficiently and safely.
• Able to adjust to the changing needs and demands of the department as communicated by Supervisor.
• Understand and comply with ethical, legal and regulatory requirements applicable to our business.
• Participate in the annual physical inventory.
• Take on special assignments as requested.
• Able to cover at least 1 other area within DS department after being fully trained to do so.
