About The Position

This position's primary responsibilities include all PCOM off campus courier activity including responsibility for the campus vehicle's maintenance and upkeep. Secondary responsibilities of this position include assisting with receipt and delivery of materials and/or equipment on campus. Responsible for ensuring all tasks are performed timely and accurately.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2 years minimum of related experience
  • Valid driver's license issued by state of residence with no accidents and/or violations in past three (3) years.
  • Pushes/pulls or moves/lifts heavy equipment/supplies
  • Extremely heavy physical effort (lift/carry 50 lbs. or more)
  • Frequent prolonged standing/walking

Nice To Haves

  • Some technical training beyond high school preferred

Responsibilities

  • Shipping and Receiving responsibilities including but not limited to:
  • Assists in receipt and delivery, to designated locations, of all incoming packages, cartons, equipment and/or supplies as assigned. Assists with both computerized and paper receiving functions.
  • Assists in tagging of campus equipment, including equipment for the Health Care Centers (HCCs). Submits documentation to immediate supervisor.
  • Orders all stored supplies (RICOH toners, printer toners, stationery, etc).
  • Receives and distributes stored items as assigned to designated locations including Health Care Centers (HCCs).
  • Accurately utilizes all of distribution services' technology and softwares including but not limited to the Microsoft suite, Quadient WTS' handheld palm pilots, Quadient WTS' receiving software, Banner, Unimarket, Chrome River, Pitney Bowes, Quadient shipping and reporting software.
  • Courier services for the PCOM Philadelphia campus including but not limited to:
  • Daily Pickup and delivery of mail, parcels, packages and equipment
  • Daily delivery and pick up of materials to various off campus locations in the tri-state area for PCOM departments including the Health Care Centers (HCCs).
  • Operates PCOM van safely; secures and schedules regular maintenance, cleaning and inspections of same.
  • Ensures current registration and insurance are in the campus van in all times or seeks the assistance of the Director to obtain necessary documents
  • Completes daily log/report of campus van including walk around observation
  • Maintains daily mileage log for campus van
  • Maintains established institutional and department policies and procedures, objectives and quality and safety standards.
  • Operates equipment safely; adjusts, cleans and maintains same.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
