About The Position

The Distribution / Receiving Technician plays a key role in ensuring medical supplies and equipment are received, stored, and delivered accurately and efficiently. This position supports multiple departments by using computerized inventory and distribution systems to ensure timely delivery while maintaining quality, safety, and accuracy standards. The technician is responsible for handling medical and surgical supplies, pharmaceuticals, lab supplies, and procedure trays across the distribution center, storeroom/warehouse, pharmacy, lab, and patient care areas.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • DOT Medical Card required
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Acceptable driving record with no moving violations in the past three years preferred
  • Ability to provide a certified driving record annually
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (occasionally more with assistance)
  • Exposure to healthcare environments, including potential exposure to blood, body fluids, chemicals, and temperature fluctuations

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supply chain, distribution, warehouse, or customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Accurately receive, store, replenish, and distribute supplies and equipment
  • Maintain high attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all work
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal customers and team members
  • Provide excellent customer service with a focus on department satisfaction
  • Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
  • Participate in annual inventories and weekly cycle counts
  • Monitor expiration dates and rotate stock to ensure proper usage
  • Follow departmental policies and safety procedures at all times
