About The Position

Culmen International is hiring a Distribution Quality Control Specialist to provide support for the Defense Logistics Agency and DLA Distribution. In support of DLA’s mission, DLA Distribution is a combat support organization providing a single, unified material distribution system for DoD under DLA management. The DLA Distribution mission is to provide an integrated pipeline that sustains our Armed Forces around the world with innovative and tailored logistics services that are ever improving in terms of cost, timeliness, and relative value. The DLA Distribution vision is to provide best value, competitive distribution services to the war fighter around the world, around the clock. DLA Distribution responsibilities include receipt, storage, issue, packaging, and worldwide transportation of all items placed under its accountability by the DLA and the military services. DLA Distribution also performs distribution services that are unique to a particular customer. The Distribution Quality Control Specialist (DQCS) evaluates the quality and services performed of the contract to ensure compliance and performance requirements are completed while maintaining safety as the highest priority. The DQCS will also serve as the primary quality advisor ensuring compliance with quality requirements, records, training, and performance assessments are at the highest level and meet Program leadership and PWS expectations. DQCS will investigate, report and suggest corrective action for any unsatisfactory quality and customer service incidents, making recommendations to Program leadership. DQCS will conduct audits and maintain training, licensing, and certifications for Program staff.

Requirements

  • Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance
  • Certified Quality Auditor Certification and/or certificates from the American Society for Quality
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum five (5) years in quality control in distribution operations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • As needed, ability to successfully pass any medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of any deployment

Responsibilities

  • Managing quality program planning, quality program evaluation, identifying and resolving quality issues, and technical advisory services such as evaluating systems, analyzing data, establishing quality control procedures
  • Performs quality control surveillances of processes, procedures, conformance to contract requirements, which includes Audit Readiness Internal Controls as QC inspection criteria
  • Uses Government Data Systems
