About The Position
Our client, a leading energy company, is seeking a Distribution Project Engineer to support the design and execution of electric distribution projects within its service territory. This is a 12-month contract opportunity ideal for early-career engineers looking to gain hands-on exposure to utility distribution systems, customer-facing projects, and engineering project coordination. This role serves as a key point of contact for assigned projects and supports both new construction and maintenance initiatives within the electric distribution system.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field
- 0–5 years of experience in an engineering, utility, or infrastructure environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with senior engineers and cross-functional teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work on-site in West Palm Beach, FL
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to electric distribution, utilities, or customer-driven engineering projects preferred
Responsibilities
- Apply diversified technical knowledge and practices to broad assignments across multiple engineering fields
- Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques and procedures using sound technical judgment
- Make adaptations and modifications to existing processes and solutions
- Investigate variables and analyze data to support project objectives
- Work on conventional plans, investigations, surveys, structures, and equipment projects
- Collaborate with senior team members on complex technical challenges
- Develop technical solutions and recommendations for various engineering problems
- Support project coordination and execution activities
- Prepare technical documentation and reports
