About The Position

The Distribution and Processing Services Specialist I is responsible for all incoming and outgoing mail service functions including processing registered, certified, and overnight mail. This position works every day in office at our Dayton Ohio HQ. Essential Functions: Receive, open, sort, and distribute incoming mail to all departments, multiple buildings in Dayton and regional offices Responsible for processing all incoming and outgoing domestic shipments from/for DHL, Fed Ex, UPS, and deliver to internal customers per the established daily schedule Operate and maintain mailing equipment such as postage machine, letter opener and folder/inserter machine Perform print service functions related to a high volume copy center operations (copy, printing, fold/insert), punching and compiling of books and literature for internal and external projects Manage print production intake process, evaluate and prioritize requests and schedule work accordingly Coordinate as necessary with copier representative to maintain copier fleet and provide 1st level support on occasion. Pick up and deliver records to support the company records retention program Assist with facilities support including internal moves, AV equipment requests, room set-ups and reconfigurations Open, sort, and batch paper claims and other business documents for internal processing as required Manage paper claims scanning process, to include operation and maintenance of scanning equipment, tracking and reporting on activity, coordination with stakeholders and meeting all established service level agreements Provide Finance, Claims and Health Partner Life Cycle with volume totals to accurately process and track all refund and returned checks Assist Human Resources and IT in managing employee asset returns Assist IT Asset Management with asset check-in and provide a check and balance process to ensure new IT assets are received, logged and placed into inventory. Track various activities and create metrics related to department functions including volume tracking, postage meter readings, productivity, and special requests and report these to the Team Leader monthly Work with departments to accommodate their unique requests whenever possible Maintain equipment, tools, supplies and work area to ensure a safe and productive working environment Perform any other job related instructions, as requested

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience with mailing processes and equipment, shipping, and receiving, inventory management, and/or facilities management support services, is required
  • Computer proficient in MS Office and Outlook
  • Ability to operate mailroom equipment, such as a postage machine, letter folder and scanning equipment
  • Task and team oriented
  • Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of to complete work
  • Communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to lift a maximum of 65 pounds
  • Ability to provide excellent service
  • Self-motivated and willing to take initiative to complete tasks as assigned

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree is preferred

  • Current forklift certification is preferred
