Job Summary: Oversees designated warehouse operations and personnel to ensure optimal production workflow. Monitors work activities for adherence for procedural and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Intermediate knowledge of warehouse communications system.
  • Intermediate knowledge of database management and reporting software.
  • Intermediate knowledge of warehouse procedures, rules, regulations, workflow and products.
  • Basic knowledge of the Continuous Improvement (C.I.) processes.
  • Basic mathematical skills required.
  • Ability to use precision, power and hand tools.
  • Ability to operate a fork lift, electric pallet jack, sweeper/scrubber and scissor lift.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret information.
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to research information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes.
  • Ability to reason, form concepts, and recognize and solve problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
  • Ability to show information in presentation or diagram form.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and manage time.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
  • Ability to work on-call and flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • May be required to drive in accordance with the BGC Driver policy.
  • Must have visual capability to see up close and far distances.
  • Must have auditory capability to hear and understand information given whether directly through a headset unit, over the intercom, and/or the ability to hear warning signals/sounds, hazardous sounds, etc.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the BGC attendance policy.
  • Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible.
  • Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor.
  • Associate's Degree and four or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and higher education required.
  • OSHA 10 certification required.
  • Minimum of 21 years of age required.
  • Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities including planning, assigning and directing work; training and developing partners; appraising performance and scheduling.
  • Works in conjunction with upper management regarding budgeting; interviewing, hiring and determining pay; rewarding and disciplining partners; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Oversees operational workflow and procedures through the inspection of docks, pallets, damages, overhang, breakdown and stacks. Includes maintenance needs.
  • Provides recommendations to logistics leadership regarding total warehouse and process improvements.
  • Monitors activity to ensure compliance with OSHA standards as well as local, state and federal regulations.
  • Reviews daily reports and approves purchase orders of items needed for the warehouse.
  • Monitors placement of product and machinery to ensure code and insurance standards are consistently met.
  • Performs other duties as needed.
